SAITEK Multi Instrument Panel

Recommended Posts

I have it working using SPAD.neXt under Win 10 + P3D3 in a networked configuration. Didn't try it locally (yet). Networked use is Simconnect based which requires the paid version of SPAD.neXt. I think there's a trial, though.

Kind regards, Michael

Can anyone give me a tip how to get my SAITEK Multi Instrument Panel to work in WIN10 and P3D v3?

You need spad V0.5 here

And the latest version of fsuipc - panel will not work without it - and make sure you dont have any weirdo saitek drivers loaded - only fsuipc and spad -

Also sometimes in windows 10 you have to move around your usb plug from panel to another opening on computer until you find one that works - weird but have noticed this - maybe thats why your not figuring it out

Haha.

Jack I have 9 of these guys running, too. This is again in a networked configuration using the most recent Saitek (Win 7) drivers on a client via Simconnect. These have the added benefit of keeping the order of the gauges (believe it or not).

Kind regards, Michael

In a local configuration, if the drivers are already installed on the system from 2.5, did you try adding the following exe.xml entry:

<Launch.Addon>

    <Name>Saitek Panel(s) Plugin for FSX</Name>

    <Disabled>True</Disabled>

    <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Saitek\ProFlight FSX Plugin\SaiFlightSimX.exe</Path>

    <CommandLine>-run</CommandLine>

  </Launch.Addon>

Keep in mind this is the path for the most recent drivers, previous versions had another path. I would be surprised if it didn't work.

Kind regards, Michael

  • 3 weeks later...

The exe.xml file Michael refers to must be in the correct directory (tells the flight sim what addons to launch)

For Prepar3D v3 it looks in

C:\users\<yourusename>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D V3

The new SaiFlightSimX.exe "Plugin" is now an integrated support plugin (BTW it is the same code for FSX, P3D v2, and v3) which combines the support for Instrument Panels and the other Saitek Radio/Multi/Switch panels ---- will probably conflict with SPAD if you have that installed
