October 9, 201510 yr After a complete fresh install of P3Dv3, I get right after the first start a list of error messages for a GPS, that seems to be identified as fs9gps. the entries look like: error=Gauge/Script Errortype: GaugeName: gps_500error [different extensions] Can this be the result of something I've done wrong, or is this a bug in P3Dv3? In case I did this myself, what did I do wrong and how can I fix it? In case this is a bug in P3Dv3, do I have to wait for LM to fix it, or can I do it myself and if so, how should I do this? Cheers! Maarten
October 9, 201510 yr Moderator That is reporting some so-called "XML syntax errors" in the fs9gps.cab, which is really strange since this is the one supplied by ACES for FS9, and carried forward to FSX. The name is the giveaway to this of course... I wrote "so-called" because I'm not all that sanguine about the accuracy of the P3D error detection routines. Fr. October 9, 201510 yr You should turn off Content Error Logging in the P3D Settings or, in your P3D.cfg under Main, change the 1 to a 0. This is mainly used by developers and does not necessarily indicate a problem with P3Dv3. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! October 9, 201510 yr Author I wasnt sure what to expect from this error, since it's a part of the basics since FS9, so I didnt know what to think it. But it doesnt seem to affect anything in the sim. So, this is one I can ignore, that's good to know. Thanks for the info, guys! Cheers! Maarten
