October 17, 201510 yr I'm going to add an extra GTX 780 to my PC. I already have one GTX 780. Is it straight forward to do? And do i need a SLI Bridge connector? Vernon Howells
October 22, 201510 yr Yes, you'll need the bridge connector (normally comes with your motherboard). It's relatively straightforward to install, assuming you have a mobo and case where things fit and a robust power supply with the right connectors. But...configuration can prove to be something of an art. October 26, 201510 yr I'm going to add an extra GTX 780 to my PC. I already have one GTX 780. Is it straight forward to do? And do i need a SLI Bridge connector? As Bob said, an SLI bridge is essential, it won't work without it. SLI is something I've considered for my new build. However, as Bob eluded to, setup can be tricky. In addition, some have reported issues with micro stutters. For the reasons mentioned, I'm sticking to conventional wisdom and running a single card, the most powerful I can afford.
