October 29, 201510 yr Windows Control Panel | Sound shows the sound device icons, and you pick (click on) one to make it the device that handles sound on your system. Here's my issue: I have flight headphones with Track IR Proclip and microphone, this is a USB device, cannot plug into an audio jack. I have just purchased an office chair Butkicker Transducer to add rumble to low freq sounds. This device runs of the phone jacks on the soundblaster card. Is there way to produce the sound from FSX through both devices at the same time? Audio thru the USB jack to the headphones, and the same sounds coming from the SB card to the BK transducer? In other words a utility that allows both Windows devices to be playing the same sounds at the same time. Right now I can only turn on either one device for Windows, and it works perfect. Either the SB card audio, or the USB driver that powers the headphones. But I cannot turn on both at once. November 1, 201510 yr You can configur FSX to play ATC through your USB headset and leave all teh rest on your speakers, but thats it
November 3, 201510 yr Author Thanks Dutch1. It works! reference: I do not now have to buy another headset to do ATC and comms while playing the audio via the 3.5mm audio to the BK. So it save me lots of money and frustration. Also the USB phones I have are surround sound so I can hear what's behind me in games where directional situational awareness is crucial. Capt Speirs: Sounds can be heard coming from the chair, not clear, with a slight buzz, and about I would say 5% of normal volume if it was going thru a speaker. Fine to block someone in the next room from being bothered, and someone in next apartment in an apt bldg would not even hear it. More or less sounds like a car stereo booming from a couple block away. You only hear the low freq booms. But your wife in the same bedroom will hear the sounds, so I would say it's a no go ! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
