October 29, 201510 yr In wet weather and after take off a horizontal single contrail and a downward one appear below my aircraft. This used to be caused by the Snow Engine Wash or Wet Engine wash effect, but didn't expect it to occur in PrecipitFX in P3Dv3. Any way to stop this from happening?? November 3, 201510 yr Author Hello Keven Unfortunately I didn't take a screenshot at the time, will do so if/when it happens again. Thanks you for your reply. November 8, 201510 yr Commercial Member It's happening to me also. Here are some photos: Please run PrecipitFX again to scan and modify new aircrafts in your sim. Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
November 8, 201510 yr Commercial Member Can you paste here the [Effects] section of the affected aircraft? Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
November 8, 201510 yr This particular aircraft is the FSX Level-D. I'm not seeing an [Effects] section in the Aircraft.config. Note, other effects display: Engines start, contrails, etc. Here's more development: - Started a default aircraft and did not have the same issue. - Reset the flight, loaded the Level-D, the issue did not occur. - Rebooted and started FSX, loaded the Level-D from the splash screen, no issue. I made no changes so I'm not sure why it stopped. I'll keep testing and will keep you posted.
November 8, 201510 yr I don't think this is a PrecipitFX issue. I have seen this issue for years with ActiveSky. Are you running a 3rd party weather engine? If you alt+enter out of FSX end ActiveSky it should go away. I am not sure what causes it. Mike Keigley

The LevelD is an FS2004 aircraft converted for FSX and at the time of development, there was no Effects section. Let me know if that worked for you! Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
