October 31, 201510 yr Hi All, I just wondered what this texture problem is? Is probably something simple, but I can't pin it down? Next question is how do you attach a image. I don't really want to link? The texture looks like canvas, rather than metal, if that makes sense? No need to attach a picture...words make perfect sense! Jools EDIT: Sorry forgot to say this is with P3D V3..I forgot for a moment it isn't FSX. J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s
November 1, 201510 yr Next question is how do you attach a image. I don't really want to link? I don't believe you can attach an image to a post like you could several years ago. I think a link to the image at a hosting sit is the only way to get it into the post. Michael Cubine

November 2, 201510 yr Author I forgot about image hosting sites. http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/YrA I can live with this texture problem. It sometimes happens. But not all the time. Especially at dusk, and when you try and turn the cockpit panel lights up. J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s
November 19, 201510 yr I have the same Problem I think it´s normal when the Light is on in the Cokpit. Best Regards Martin Westphal Intel Core i9-9900KS | ASUS ROG Maximus XI Extreme Z390 | G.Skill DDR4 32GB 3600 MHz | Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX2080TI-OC11G
November 19, 201510 yr Kyle recently answered at length as to what causes this, he used a fancy big word for it but I just call it a display artifact due to the process and not due to the underlying texture or skin. Dan Downs KCRP
November 19, 201510 yr Funny, I got the same quirk. Not a big deal but I'll stay tuned for a solution (if any). Nick Dobda
November 21, 201510 yr I notice a bit of that at night, but slightly different. More horizontal, and not really a cross hatch in my case. I thought it was a quirk with my cheap video... In my case, it seems to be related to the night panel lighting.. Sorta.. I haven't seen Kyles explanation.. Mine is kinda like a banding, and it moves and changes so to speak if I move my view. I don't notice it at all in the day, and not really that much at dusk/dawn due to the extra normal lighting I suppose. Mark Keith
November 21, 201510 yr Author It is no big deal....I was wondering if it was just me. The lighting knobs on the NGX are quite revolutionary in a flight simming way, so if this is a trade then off great. I enjoy flying at night for some reason, so i notice lighting isses, and I always make a note of them. J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s

Visibility increases ten-fold and you can see traffic around you at great distances. The ground lighting outlines towns and cities, which can be seen very far in the distance. The air is almost always absolutely smooth as glass, and there is a sensation of being suspended motionless in the air. Our aux tank switch has a light that does not dim with the rest of the panel so it has a piece of paper clipped to it to take it down a notch. Love night flying. Dan Downs KCRP

My brain can't fly if it is dark outside and day in the flight simm. I only get to fly in the evenings. It is a bit like flight simm lag. J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s
