November 19, 201510 yr Hi Stephen I have followed the installation and setup instructions as per the manual (removing all functionality from the controller but enabling the controller in P3D). The controller is not showing up in the Spy window though.
November 19, 201510 yr Commercial Member Do you have DirectX installed? The controller list has nothing to do with the sim only those controllers returned from DirectX. Your controllers button events should appear in the Spy window as they are generated by the sim as SimConnect events. Stephen :-)
November 19, 201510 yr That may be it then. I have not specifically installed a DX version on my latest installation of Windows many thanks
November 19, 201510 yr Commercial Member When you open the Spy window the list of devices are all devices that the DirectX interface returns as being recognised. I have no idea what devices or drivers are DirectX compatible or not, you should see your other controllers though as most joysticks and controllers are DirectX compatible. Opus uses DirectX only to poll the axes assigned to LCC functions. All buttons rely on SimConnect events generated by the sim. Stephen
February 21, 20179 yr Commercial Member I am looking at getting the Xbox One controller and wonder if trigger axis will work like my Xbox 360 controller. I am using trigger axis for rudder, left for left rudder, right for right rudder and reading these post has me concerned this might not work with the XboxOne controller like it does for the Xbox360 controller in FSX.
