create instrument approach at any airport

Featured Replies

I am using AirHauler and frequently the weather has not been so great so I need to continue the approach under IFR.  A lot of the fields that it has me flying jobs into do not have an instrument approach.

I thought I had seen a utility to create an instrument approach into any airport that could be used with built in GPS?

In addition to that, is there anything similar to airnav.com for finding instrument approaches (my base is in Europe)?

Do you mean that you need charts for instrument approaches? For europe they are available on EuroControl. (registration is required but free)

As for the other question, I am not sure where you often fly to. Even small airports usually have instrument approach procedures, unless it's an private airfield or something. If there isn't an instrument approach for the airport, there's nothing you can do about it. (unless you want to create "fake" procedures)

Thanks, I should either hold until it clears or divert to an airport that does have an instrument approach if it does not have one and just pay to have the cargo delivered.

Yes, that sounds good, thanks!
