Active Sky Next ASN has stopped updating live weather

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Like the subject says, my ASN copy refuses to update. If I want to update weather I need to exit ASN and restart for it to download the newest weather info. I tried changing the download interval but with no effect. Do you have any suggestions as to what I could do?

I'm using FSX box edition, I fly exclusively with LEVEL-D's old 767. I have other addons working in the background, like FSCaptain, FSRealtime, flightsimlabs spotlights (demo, for testing) and ProFlight Emulator for ATC, but appart from FSCaptain and FSL spotlights (recent adittions) all the others have worked fine with ASN... I have the 5707 build.

Thank you!

I've uninstalled ASN and my level-D 767. I've reinstalled the Level-D and ASN and I've just checked: ASN is updating the weather again (Status: Downloading weather).

I am going to add the ProFlight Emulator and FSCaptain to the Level-D panel and check if ASN is affected in any way after doing that. FSCaptain links with ASN to retrieve weather conditions into its FMC.

I've installed everything back (I think) and ASN keeps working. I realized that the active date/time wasn't updating, as it is now. If I started ASN at 15:02Z, this time would never change again. Probably this is why it wouldn't download any weather again.

Hi Alex,

Glad its working ok again.  Since the active time was not updating, it sounds like ASN was in offline/manual mode.  If this occurs again, please check your weather mode and ensure that Live/real time is selected.

Hi,

i have same issue.

it shows weather 17 th of octobre and weather mode is connected !

Kind regards

Kind of same thing here. All settings are fine, live weather selected but it is no longer updating in flight. It loads weather on initial start and that's it. No METAR and TAF updates either, had to use other WX sources to track weather conditions.

Thx

Hi,

There is no "connected" weather mode.  Are you confusing sim connection with weather mode?

If you are in offline mode, you can change to live weather mode using the Configure screen/Mode button.

If you have continued issues getting weather updates, please open a support ticket at http://support.hifitechinc.com and include a log export (tools->export logs).  Thank you

Cannot open a support ticket. When I try to access support tab the page looks corrupted, all lines, entries are messed up in http://support.hifitechinc.com. Changing browsers and computers did not help.

Thx
