Nvidia Services in task Manager

Featured Replies

Good evening all

I am just wondering, when I go into my programmes, or on to task manager, I have a number of NVIDIA processes running.

-NVIDIA 3D Vision Controller Driver 352.65

-NVIDIA 3D Vision Driver 359.06

-NVIDIA GeForce Experience 2.7.4.10

-NVIDIA Graphics Driver 359.06

-NVIDIA HD Audio Driver 1.3.34.4

-NVIDIA PhysX System Software 9.15.0428

My question is, should I get rid of any of these (Obviously not the Driver itself) for use with P3D?

Running

i7 6700k

980Ti

Cheers

Next time you install an Nvidia driver package only install the base graphics driver. If you are using the graphics card for audio, then install the HD Audio driver. Else, the rest is worthless for flight sim applications. On the other hand, those extraneous processes probably do not impair performance significantly either.

Thank you

Is it just as simple as uninstalling from programmes?

Or do I need to do it another way?

The nVidia services can be stopped and then set to disabled in the Service Manager via the Windows Control Panel. The other items can be uninstalled. As to the latter items, I recommend waiting until you update the graphics driver. Do a custom install and uncheck any item that is not needed. It's mostly bloatware.

Thank you

You can uninstall all of things you wish to now except for the driver or do a clean install of just the driver as Jay has stated - I only install the driver
