September 18, 200520 yr Not sure what use FS makes out of FSS stations but I can tell you we had real good oceanic coverage from Oakland ZAK_FSS all weekend long on VATSIM. Made the pacific a whole bunch more fun and interesting than usual. September 18, 200520 yr Author Hi there, In MSFS, if there is an FSS at a non-controlled field(i.e. no control tower), you can pick up your IFR clearance if your flight as filed in the stock flight planner is IFR. Hopefully, in the next version of FS, the FSS function will be expanded to mirror real world usage(i.e weather briefings,etc). Hope this helps.J.C. (MYNN)PPL ASEL,AMEL
