FSX minimizes to taskbar spontaneously

Featured Replies

In the newer released NVIDIA drivers, such as 361.91,there is mention in the "NOT NVIDIA" section that:

Flight Simulator X–pressing Alt+Tab to switch to the desktop does not work. [293729]

I have noted that  FSX will minimize to the taskbar spontaneously using WIN 10, also happened in Win 7 and repeatedly clicking on the taskbar icon  does not  bring it up and that is curtains for that session.

Workarounds included:

In WIN 7 one could go the  task manager and choose FSX.EXE right click and choose  "BRING FORWARD" and that would restore the program to the screen.

There is no such function in WIN 10 in the task manager that I could find.

I discovered by serendipity that hovering on the FSX icon on the taskbar in WIN 10 and pressing "ENTER" will restore the program to the screen and allow one to continue.

Anyone know why this happens or how to prevent it? I  am not sure the reference above is what I am talking about.

it is  a hassle to have this happens and it happens fairly often.

I am using version 353.82 which was installed automatically when I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 and do not see any overwhelming need to change to a newer version, but do not know if the problem I am having now  in Win 10 relates to the driver I am using or something else.

Hi Greg,

I have the same problem with P3D.

Hover over the task bar icon to open the small window move mouse to the X (close button) and right click, the minimize/maximize bar shows then click maximize works for me, but if anyone knows a better/permanent fix please share.
