March 23, 201610 yr FSX-SE is like putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. FSX-SE + Steve's DX10 fixer is running beautifully on my new Windows 10 machine, and that's with no tweaking, no fiddling, no messing with affinity masks, no nothing. I don't have any stuttering and the eye candy is good enough for me (but I'll confess that no popping autogen would be nice). I had originally planned on hobbling on FSX-SE just long enough for my wallet to recover from my recent hardware upgrade, but I'm in such a happy place right now that I'm thinking my money might be better spent in other places. In my opinion FSX-SE is worth taking a look at for anyone who is on a limited budget or who doesn't have the money or inclination to re-purchase pricey add-ons, especially since it can be picked up for 7.49 right now. March 23, 201610 yr Yair: I have upgraded to windows 10. I have even put windows 10 on a 10 year old dual core machine. My point is this: NEVER change two major factors at once. Allow one to get thoroughly settled before changing the other. What you propose probably will work, but might need tweaking. One step at a time. Best of luck: Jim Elder
March 24, 201610 yr FSX-SE is like putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. Nah, it's a new pig. Genetically modified using new compiler etc. If you still have all the equipment that work with pig, replacing a different animal than a pig like chicken or bull could cause from slight to big problem Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system.
