Thanks for commenting.....it's a giant depression in the earth about 400mi..the north american plate moving over a hot spot associated with Yellowstone-earth's largest supervolcano. picture 1,2,3,4 Basaltic lava field called Craters of the Moon. picture 5,6,7 rhyolite domes picture 8 basaltic lava field called Hells Half Acre. picture 10 cinder cones with lava fields picture 13 upper left corner a giant caldera blast zone and pyroclastic lava flow Beautiful!!
