March 26, 201610 yr Hi Folks, OK - so I am working my way through my first flight - does the "N1 Setting" gauge actually work ? It should limit max N1 thrust to whatever is displayed with max throttle setting - no ??? Thanks... Regards,Scott
March 26, 201610 yr I see no effect from it. Not sure it is supposed to be a limiter or computer in the real plane. But it seems to be merely eye candy in the Carenado plane. EddieKABQ
March 26, 201610 yr Nope. That is not what it is suppose to do. It is for 'target' N1 settings. The real CJ2 has the Safeflight N1 reminder as an option. Evidently the CJ2 model that Carenado based this one on had one installed. It is just an indicator of target N1 settings for Takeoff/TOGA, Climb and Max Cruise settings based on temperature variations, the anti-ice configuration and what the air data computer is thinking. It doesn't do anything but show some target numbers which would be great if it worked correctly. The numbers all seem low to me. We are suppose to be able to set the temperature to get readings for the target takeoff N1 setting. If you press the knob it should read the RAT in deg C. Maybe some of our community coders will take in on as a project. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
