Everything was working until I updated to the new UI and now no effects on any of my aircrafts.

It shows on my icons when I start FSX-SE and the setting seems to be configured correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Keven, I am using DX10 with Steve fixer. But I also was using before the new UI come out and didn't have any problems.

Is there a way to revert to the previous version? otherwise this is a wast of money and resources.

Sadly, it is no longer possible to use the old Installer, but we want to work with you to fix the issue and make sure it doesn't happen again!

Have you tried the effects with DX9 to see if they work?

 

If they don't, please contact us through our support page (https://fsfxpackages.com/en/support/) and we'll find a solution one-to-one!

No it doesn't work in DX9 either. and It was working fine until this update which broken the effect.

and even if the DX9 would work I see no reason to switch to it.

Hi my name is Louis. I recently bought PrecipitFX And after running VXF Central. I dont see any effects at all. I am trying to use it in my FSX SE and Prepar3D V3. I have run every simconnect in both. My effects sliders are all the way up. I also made sure to over ride any aircraft settings when installing PrecipitFX. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated as Im looking to buy the immersion packages. The effects that you guys have made are incredible. I hope I get mine working. One more question. Does VXF need to run with my sim? It doesnt start up when I load my sim. Thank you so much in advance.

Reading the post just above yours, you will probably find an answer to your issue.

 

For VFXCentral, You need to run it when you add a new aircraft or you can set it up to start automatically in the background.

I can see effect on plane i'm flying, but even most i need to have effects for my Ai ( WOAI packages )

Unfortunately my Ai planes are having none effects.

Only Contrails and brake smoke is working on AI.

Indeed Ai have contrails, the problem is that those are barely visible, not 'juicy' and fluffy at all, and definitely not as shown on your web page.

Is it normal effect given by PrecipitFX, or am i missing something ?

Yes i have read manual, but did not find any relevant to my question.

If you are referring to 'special effect slider' - it is irrelevant as with min or max position effect is same.

Apart of Ai where contrails are so weak that it is even hard to catch those on screen shot, but also A320 is having 'weak' contrails which are hardly visible.

 

Keven - i have a bit mixed feelings, so please tell me if presented effects are correct or not ?

Those are the default contrails, not PrecipitFX's contrails.

 

There are some occasions where contrails are specifically defined by the aircraft developer. In the case of Aerosoft's Airbus, they added the following lines the aircraft.cfg files to fix an issue they had with contrail positioning:

smoke.0 = 7.63, -19.04, -8.29, fx_contrail_l
smoke.1 = 7.63, 19.04, -8.29, fx_contrail_l

 

You can change those lines with the following:
