March 31, 201610 yr Well, I know some of it, but a large part remains a mystery: I wonder if anyone knows of a 'full' explanation anywhere of the settings. For example/starters: [iNTERNATIONAL]ASLAT=2ASLON=1MEASURE=0 What do the values 0, 1, 2, 3 mean here and what effect do they have in the sim? It would be so useful to have a document explaining this sort of thing. Thanks. Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
March 31, 201610 yr There's loads of stuff all over the place in FS2004 that I don't understand  Try making a copy of FS9.cfg and then altering the variables you mention and see what happens. You won't break your PC or the sim and you can always go back to the original cfg file. Who knows what you might discover :o Dijvid
March 31, 201610 yr [iNTERNATIONAL]ASLAT=2ASLON=1MEASURE=0 These are in-sim settings, shouldn't take you too long to find them. hint:General Settings. The best gift you can give your children is your time.
March 31, 201610 yr Author OK, sure, but actually that was just the first example I came across. Probably no one has produced a guide to the whole cfg file, or it would be 'famous' on these forums... Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
April 1, 201610 yr As N60JBravo says, most are the 'code' versions of the on screen settings screens, 0 = option 1, 1 = option 2, and so on. Distances are measured in metres/meters such as 144841 = 90 miles. The best tweak guides from way back explain the rest in some detail. Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..."
