Shortcut for FMC

Featured Replies

While I'm awaiting a response to my request for access to the Majestic forum I'm going to avail myself of th eunofficail forum.

The FMC/MDU, etc. on all of the other aircraft  that I own can be opened using Shift-n key combo.

However, on the Q400 it pops up as part of another panel, and to split it out I have to click on it using the mouse.

I try to avoid using the mouse as much as I can during flight, so is there a way to open just the FMC/MDU, etc.?

Thanks,

Ernie

At this time no.  SHIFT + 5 is your best option which activates the FMS & ARCDU panel, this may change with the TRAINING Edition, but no guarantees.

That's unfortunate.

Virtually every other aircraft that I have from a major vendor (iFly, Level-D, FeelThere, QualityWings, etc.) has the capability to split out just the FMC so that it can be placed on a separate monitor.

I'm simply amazed that Majestic didn't catch on to that.

Did not realize that we had to follow everyone else's design concept.  Our FMS can be used on a separate screen if needed - but you have previously mentioned that you are not too keen on our simplistic way of clicking on the FMS screen to bring it up, then un-docking it and moving it to a device/monitor of your choice, there is not much more that we can really suggest to you.

However, on the Q400 it pops up as part of another panel, and to split it out I have to click on it using the mouse.  I try to avoid using the mouse as much as I can during flight.

Our aim is to make the product as user friendly for our consumers - unfortunately we are not able to please/satisfy everyone.

Cheers

That is actually the worst complaint I've heard about the aircraft, which is to credit!

Six plus years flying the Dash 8 Professional, and I love every single flight!
