P3D user gone X-Plane

I still use fsx, mostly to beta-test for a well known line of add-ons, which are part of the reason why in some aspects that sim can still be ahead of xpx, but after a while flying xpx aircraft, and particularly post torque fix, I really enjoy flying a well designed prop aircraft and specially an helicopter a lot more in xpx than in fsx.

Yes we do not have the sophistication of the best fsx add-ons. Details like those in a2a aircraft already exist in a few add-ons like aircraft by Felis, LES, and now also the iXEG 737, but in the scenery area, and even in being so easy to maintain - actually you can run it as best as your hardware allows, so, want more then build a better pc and you will have even more!..

And it's really difficult to get back to fsx sometimes... Even to dcs and il2 bos, which I haven't started since I restarted dedicating a good deal of my simmer time to xpx...

One of the reasons I had diverted to dcs, and then il2 bos, was the flight dynamics on those sims, but heck, my best heliocopters in xpx aren't behind the dcs helicopters, and even the powerful ww2 prop aircraft can be modelled at the same level I have on those sims, as a Bf109 G-2 I bought from the .Org store made me realize.

Great shots!

... by the way, i still love to use FSX and XPlane alike ...

I am also looking very much forward to what Dovetail will come up with later on this year.

Or how the next AeroflyFs will look like ...

Because, sure it would be best to have "one" ultimate sim, that does it all from ATC to weather and/or whatever, but as this is not the case yet, i think it is great to have choises.

I also never fully understood this "only this sim does it" attitude ... i mean it is understandable somehow, but ...

I mean XPlane has a real lot of great things to offer and this fantastic IXEG 737 here will certainly bring another very welcome boost to this nice sim-platform.

However i also really love my PMDG, A2A, Majestic, Ant's and Aerosoft birds in FSX altogether with fantastic scenery addons, ASN, REX (textures) and OPUS (camera, DHM and views) for instance and just to name a few.

But then again I am also eagerly awaiting PMDG's DC-6 for XPlane, love the great sceneries and add-ons by TonyWob, AlpilotX, Skymaxx and all the many, many more available out there ...

It's good to have choices (at least until the "one and ultimate sim" comes along )

And once again:

Great shots here!

And:

Have a great time exploring XPlane!

Enjoy flying and happy landings.
