Aerosoft - Catalina X (KAVX)

Featured Replies

I have some elevation problems (starting bellow the runway) at Aerosoft KAVX airport. I'm runing P3D v3.2 + Global + Vector + Pilots FTX 2010 Mesh  + LC EU + LC NA. Does anyone have a solution/workaround? I used  the Orbx AEC tool with no avail.

I tried the same not 2 days ago without success, i`m running Orbx Socal and no amount of disabling bgl`s, vector tool or scenery order would fix it, even the compatibility fix on the Orbx forums failed to cure the sunken rwy for met, i ended up buying this stunning rendition which is fully compatible with Orbx. the Developer used to work with Orbx and i`m impressed with it.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am interested in Orbx sales and in particular Soca and Noca. Do you have a beefy  machine?

I fly a lot above Cali with the Aerosoft buses I have FSDT KLAX, FB KSFO HD, FSDT KLAS and LatinVFR KSAN among with the Orbx pack (Global + Vector + Pilots FTX 2010 Mesh  + LC EU + LC NA) in some situations I am pushed to the 20 FPS zone with very mild settings. (Win 10 Pro x64 | i7 4770K @ 4.4Ghz | 2x reference GXT 780 (non Ti) in SLI | 16 Gb of RAM).

Do you fly tube liners? How is the performance within those FTX Regions?

Cheers,

Luís

PS: BTW, can you point me for the Orbx compatibility fix... Been searching for that with no avail.

Check that any add on traffic programs do not have a specific BGL for KAVX. If so, disable it and see if that helps.

The only related files I have are AF2_KAVX.bgl (C:\Games\Prepar3D v3\aerosoft\USCitiesX-LosAngeles-DEMO\Scenery) from the scenery itself and ABP_KAVX.bgl (C:\Games\Prepar3D v3\ORBX\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_APT\scenery) from vector. I have run the AEC tool but I guess one could try to put that bgl to .off...

Thanks Vic,

Luís

Edit: Unfortunately I didn't worked.

And you're not running MyTraffic or WOAI or UT2 ?  You might try moving the KAVX entry up in the scenery library. Typically specific airport sceneries should be loaded last ( top of scenery library) so they layer over other possible conflicts.

Much the same as your computer, click the CPU-Z banner in my signature.

PMDG NGX, Aerosoft Buses, and my performance depends on the weather mostly, if it`s cloudy then i get 18-25 fps.

It`s in the Orbx forum under support/ftx compatibility section.

I will give it a try. I am running MyTraffic 6.0a and KAVX is above it. I was not able to find any KAVX file in the MyTraffic folder.

Dang how the heck I missed you signature... Been over at Orbx forum for the second time and was unable to found the thread/post regarding KVAX. Regarding specs, my 2x 780 must suck against your 980Ti.
