May 31, 201610 yr Steve, I honestly don't think it was a traffic problem. FSX ATC is flaky enough by itself. Also I'm not interested in fault-finding an event that happened perhaps two years ago. I mentioned it as a problem I've seen with ATC go-around vectoring, which is one of the weaker aspects of FSX ATC AI, which is saying something. As a result of this event and other vectoring problems I stopped using FSX ATC for go-around and everything works much better as a result. I just announce the go-around to ATC and vector myself back to approach.

June 1, 201610 yr And very interesting it is too. But you seemed to be discounting the possibility that FSX ATC AI could be the cause. I write software for a living and I understand how apparently thoroughly tested software can go wrong in unforeseen circumstances (usually when the customer is nearby).
