Flying a left hand pattern from/to KPHX (flightbeam) runway 08 practising precision approaches, on the downwind leg

PM announces "glideslope alive" but there is no evidence of this on the PFD i.e. no white/pink diamonds.

 

I've performed 3 circuits and has happened each time.

Glide Slope Alive and Loc alive are tricky calls for us to program in the simulation because we can't read the glideslope/loc position directly out of the 737.  We can't really "see it" so to speak.

 

We have to use stock FS variables to guess what the Loc an GS needles are doing.

 

So it's one of those things that will work well in most cases, but sometimes you may run into a situation such as yours.
