July 11, 20169 yr Hello all I've only just installed FSX SE, which seemed to go fine first time that I run it. However, now whenever I load FSX SE, it opens on the Home tab and I'm faced with the following script error. I have to click "No" to three different, "Do you want to continue running scripts?" error screens before the home page loads. The problem comes when I attempt to load the Free Flight tab; FSX SE just hangs with no Free Flight info loading. Even worse, the whole computer locks up, needing a hard reset to reboot. Various Steam forum postings suggest updating Java, which I've done, but to no avail ! If I remove FSX.cfg and restart FSX SE, the script errors still appear, but three "no" presses does get me to the Free Flight tab ok. However, shut FSX SE down, restart and once again, it locks up attempting the Free Flight tab. This problem does seem relatively common, but I just can't figure it out - any help much appreciated as I've hit a dead-end... Gary

July 11, 20169 yr Author Are you running Internet Explorer? Have you installed IE11? No, I'm running Chrome as I don't use / like IE. But current IE version is 8. Thanks
July 11, 20169 yr Yep I had the same and its not uncommon however when I did a full reinstall of windows and FSX-SE for an unrelated problem it went away ZORAN
July 13, 20169 yr Author It would appear that I actually had two, unrelated issues: Installing IE 11 removed the script errors - many thanks ! However, the PC still locked up after selecting "Free Flight". After much searching and experimenting, the cause of the lock ups was eventually traced to a "rogue" NVidia driver version, 361.43. See: http://www.avsim.com/topic/480728-psa-nvidia-driver-36143-breaks-combined-aa-modes-in-nvi/ Uninstalled, updated to a more reliable version and the problem has gone. Gary
