Play Brief Button

Hi,

I hope someone can help me out on this one, On the approach I cannot get the [Play Brief button] to work

Its red and tells me  [ Play brief incomplete data ]

What's missing or I have to do to get it to work.

Thanks any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for answering my problem. I'm not sure what you mean by FAF,etc. Can you enlighten me a Tad more as I'm much older now and not as sharp as I used to be :)

You can look at the page 29 of the manual, there are three things in red to fill up before you can run the approach brief:

_ Final approach fix alt: altitude of the "FAF"

_ Minimums (DA) baro: This depends on the postion of the switch on the EFIS control panel: if you want to enter a MDA/DA then put the switch to baro and enter the altitude in ft, otherwise for ILS cat II and cat III only, you can enter a DH, so you put the switch to radio and enter a height in ft in the brief.

_ Missed approach alt: altitude of the missed approach procedure so that the FO can check and remind you if you have set it on the MCP during the final approach.
