August 8, 20169 yr During the course of AI flight planning I have noticed that the Local time offset from UTC is incorrect. Excluding the effect of daylight saving the local time in NZ is 12 hrs ahead of UTC whereas in the sim it is only 11 hours. Is there any way of adjusting this or do I have to resort to using something like FS real time? Cheers Steve Hall
August 8, 20169 yr Author I hadn't really noticed it until I tried looking AI that I had been flight planning. It was then I noticed the 1 hr diff between local and UTC. Looks like I'll be using FSReal time then. Don't use local time, very few in aviation do. Not quite correct. Domestic aviation uses local time. Cheers Steve Hall
August 8, 20169 yr I'm not going to argue... but it's very unusual to use local time. All ATC uses UTC, flightplans are UTC, weather is always UTC... etc. The only use of local time is on schedules for the public. Perhaps on a island nation this might be different but that would be an unusual exception. Dan Downs KCRP
