August 24, 20169 yr however, FSC is very useful to monitor/track your flights. And FSC also connects to Google Earth, and you get a complete track profile including vertical in 3d, i still use it today, it`s a fantastic tool.
October 1, 20169 yr So many decisions to make. Just clicking on a map and setting them on the plane fmc was fun for a while. But I want to learn the simulation etc - learn to read the numbers properly. VFR flying in sim is easy, just throttle up and up and away we go. Now that I have VR, I want to learn the stuff (sure it will take time - though I am a pro in installing and configuring/tweaking etc. I guess in the past I have spent more time tweaking the sim. Going to learn to use Simbrief. Thank you for posting the simbrief tutorial, I had no idea that there was one. I use Simbrief all the time. You can generate a flight plan then check if it's valid. When your satisfied you can download a .rt plan for various aircraft for use. I save mine to PMDG's 777 flight plan and WX folders and request it thru the FMC. All the flight plans you have are shown in the FMC. Just be certain to place your plane at the proper airport, I had a ins disagree?, Wrong airport! My grand daddy used to say "It pay's, to pay attention". I downloaded Aivlasofts EFB, you can get a 30 trial key. I tried flying on line years ago, the controller yelled at me " Your going the wrong way or you took of from the wrong runway etc", No fun! I always have two machines running or ready to run and their networked. I fix machines for other people and need two machines, at least that's my excuse.
