Say It Hotkey

Featured Replies

I am having a problem getting the hotkey I set on either my joystick or keyboard for the Say It function. I can easily set one for the PTT. Is there something I might be overlooking. Using windows 7 and P3D version 3.

The manual shows no "Hot", Key Or Button for "Say-It"

The only mention of "Say-It" is on Pg 67

"Show In-Line Grammar Help- toggles the display of the Gold text and the Say-It function on and off. If you don't use it, unchecking this box will prevent the Gold text from getting in your way. "

...good idea to add one though

BTW...did you get my PM?

Bobsk8,

On the speech tab in the config panel, there are Set buttons for both the SayIt HotKey and Joystick Button.  After setting, be sure to check the "Enable" option also.

Also, be careful to not set them to a key or button being used by another program as this can cause confusion and strange results.

Dave

Thanks, that is probably the issue, I have to check other assignments for the key I am trying to use, which I believe I have. BTW, I really love this ATC program, I am really impressed.

Didn't get it.

I made sure there were no other assignments and I tried a couple of different keys for the say it Hotkey, and it just won't program. It shows the buttopn number of the key I press and I have enable checked but the say it never lights up. Anyway , been using the headset and push to talk with no problems.

Bob,

Does the on-screen SayIt button work, but the key or joystick button don't? I just tried it and the assigned hot key and joystick button work fine. I did have to press and hold for a split second....it doesn't seem to sense a quick tap.

One thing to check is that you are on a valid frequency and have a SayIt phrase in the text window with a "~" at the beginning.

I just ran the latest update  2.0.1.5     ( I had run one 2 days ago when I installed it,  but apparently it was an older version). Now the Say It hot button works.
