Orbx NA ai program.

Recommended Posts

I went to the limited user support forum at Orbx to ask why I can't find the general aviation ai program for North America.

I was told that since they had no plans to upgrade it it has been removed.

I replied asking if those ai flight plans and aircraft have been made a part of the NA regions but so far have received no reply.

Does anyone here know?  If not is there a substitute?  I only have SCA, NCA, PNW, NRM, and CRM installed and do not plan to install anything else.  I just want the areas that match my train simulator routes for the west.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

I hope someone can clear this up, I still have an installer for na AI traffic, just wondering if it's been completely removed for good or not.

One of the Orbx people posted on the FTX Forum on Friday:

"I'll be reinstating the NA AI pack in a couple of weeks as the regions do make use of the aircraft in their traffic files".

On Saturday, he posted an expanded explanation:

"The reason it was pulled was that people's "expectations" were not met. Seeing that some of the later NA Regions make use of the aircraft with their own traffic files we will be re-instating the download."

I think the 'North America' part was what confused users.  The Orbx AI aircraft never covered North America.

It only contained AI for some of the earlier regions (PNW, etc.).  Some of the later regions and airports had their own AI.

Sue sent me what I was looking for.  I understand the ai program for North American Regions will be returned soon.
