TrackIR 5 and 50"+ TV mounting options

Featured Replies

I will be getting my TrackIR soon and was wondering if its possible to have the trackIR sitting at desk level like underneath the TV? Because mounting it on top would be very high from my head, my chair is a little bit low also... So I'm wondering if its possible to just place the TrackIR on the desk without mounting it. Would that work better?

Try mounting it on top of the TV and angling the TrackIR down. If it's on the desk, the unit might not be able to "see" your TrackClip when you look up. I've tried it on a TV myself, worked just fine mounted on top.

Thanks,

I have a 50" TV and have the TrackIR camera sitting at the base of the TV, just left of center. Works great with my Track Clip Pro.  Not sure how it might work with the standard hat clip, never tried it. I have it calibrated nicely and I never lose tracking vertically, only horizontally, which is bound to happen if you turn your head too far left or right.
