MCP2 Cannot get it working with the Airbus

Featured Replies

Morning

Finally  the NGX now works. Only issue is that the SIM does not respond when you change the Transponder, not the 'mode' that's OK; it is when you change the 'numbers on the MCP the NGX does not respond.

So, all is good. I will test the airbus later today, but I'm sure that will work also.

Thanks

I am glad you have got a handle on LINDA and have your MCP2 panel working.

When you change the Transponder code you need to press the transfer button under the frequency knob to activate it. It is the same button used to change COM/NAV active and standby frequencies.

No luck with the Airbus, nothing moves and also the radio section does not initialize.

As you now have the default aircraft and PMDG 737NGX working, I would check that you are not getting any errors on starting the Airbus. Any errors during initialisation will invariably stop the MCP2 working.

I also suggest you open the Console and select Verbose LUA logging. Then select a Restart Lua Engine and load the Airbus. Then email me the config.log and linda2.log files in the /modules folder. Use [email protected]. I will need look at them over the weekend when I get some free time and get back to you.

Sorry I needed your fsuipc4.log file (not config.log).

Also for FSX default aircraft you need to assign a least one button and save to remove the errors you are seeing.

I have dusted off my MCP2 panel and found the cause of the common.lua - line 4314 error you have been experiencing. The quick fix is to do the following:

  1. Edit file \modules\linda\aircrafts\aerosoft airbus\actions.lua.
  2. Locate line 6704 (or nearby) and function InitDsp().
  3. Find line starting DspVVS(ipc.readLvar("L:AB_AP_VVS_Select")).
  4. Change L:AB_AP_VVS_Select to L:AB_AP_VS_Select.
  5. Save file.
  6. Click 'Restart Lua Engine' on LINDA page.

This should allow you to use Aerosoft Airbus with your MCP2 panel. I will issue an update to the module 4.3 shortly. Thank you for your patience.

Good Morning

A great fix by the Airbus Techs, who have found and fixed the issue we had on arrival in Poland(EPKK).  Can now be on our way to France(LFLL).

Many thanks Scott for you quick fix on this one.

PS...just completed pre-flight  all works just fine
