No need to set these.

They are mostly options created as a result of user wishes.

[MECHANIC]

PushWithGSX&AES=1  (Mechanic will hand you over to GSX or AES, but will remain and monitor your start sequence)

[RAMP]

NoRampToOfficeTalk=1 (for users who don't like too much chatter between ramp agent and his colleague in the office)

NoPaxDoorsAutoHandling=1 (if you don't want MCE automatically handling pax and service doors opening and closing with GSX or AES)

NoCargoDoorsAutoHandling=1 (if you don't want MCE automatically handling cargo doors opening and closing with GSX or AES)

I'm guessing that means you can no longer ask / direct GSX with MCE, need to use GSX direct.

& is there a need to "relieve mechanic of his (monitor ?) duties" ... how & when, if so.

for now, cheers

I'm guessing that means you can no longer ask / direct GSX with MCE, need to use GSX direct.

Always a bit of a puzzle for me this one?

Ideally, there is only one "mechanic" or "technition" as we used to call them in the RAF. But there's two, our guy and the GSX guy.

So ideally you should just be able to call for...

"Ground from flight deck"

"Mechanic (technition) start pushback" (to the right/left/straight)

"Stop pushback"

I find our MCE "tech" doesn't always "hand over" to GSX "tech" so I use the GSX on screen menu instead.

There again, its our Ramp agent who calls the office for services such as de boarding/boarding/fuel/catering/push tug service, so its busy outside!:-)

I always keep everything on =0, and ad lib with mouse clicks where necessary.

If your feeling naughty....Keep mechanic on push, use Sven and accidentally forget to release him from his duties, as you taxi away!!! Good job he's speaking Sweedish, he sounds quite cross..lol:-)

regards

David
