GlideSlopeProblem

Recommended Posts

I have a weird problem with the glide slope.

On some airports everything works fine, the white diamond appears on the upper half of the PFD , then I press LOC and APP

which brings the aircraft on the G/S.( ex LSGG )

Now here is the problem,on some other airports the white diamond appears on the lower part of the PFD. LOC works, meaning

turns to green,APP fails, meaning it remains white.( ex: LIMC and many more )

I tried all kind of approaches but nothing works.

Can anybody help.

O/S = Windows 10

Thank you

Hubert Werni

NB: I wonder if other simmers encounter the same problem.

Is this not the exact issue everyone attempted to help you with here:

This time I wonder why the white diamond does not show in the upper half of the PFD.

Similar enough issue to pick it up in the other thread, but I'll answer it here anyway:

If there's no white diamond, then the aircraft is not picking up a glide slope. If you're sure you've selected an ILS approach in the DEP/ARR pages, then the sim scenery may not have the ILS in it. The default data in the sim is from 12-13 years ago. Airports change.

the white diamond appears on the lower part of the PFD

You are above the glideslope. Being mind full of the terrain, do a go around and descend to the intercept altitude.
