737 NGX activation problem

Featured Replies

i've bought the 737ngx + expansion recently, but the activation is giving me hard time, the error is "unable to connect to activation server" and then "you don't have a valid license installed for this product"

i'm in a campus and i've thought that the broblem could be that here some internet ports are blocked but the problem, even trying to activate it with an external 4g connection, is the same,

i seen that i can not connect to the pmdg site with this pc (chrome give me an ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED )

i realy need the 737 for the flight training that i'm doing, so thanks for your time

Post the contents of your HOSTS file here and we should be able to help.

Copy and paste this into a Windows Explorer window:

%SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc

It will be called "hosts" and Windows will ask you what to open it with. Tell it to open it with Notepad. Copy and paste into a response here.

Also: full names in the forum, please.

# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.

#

# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each

# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should

# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.

# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one

# space.

#

# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual

# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.

#

# For example:

#

#      102.54.94.97     rhino.acme.com          # source server

#       38.25.63.10     x.acme.com              # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.

# 127.0.0.1       localhost

# ::1             localhost

127.0.0.1 precisionmanuals.com

127.0.0.1 www.precisionmanuals.com

127.0.0.1     license.precisionmanuals.com

127.0.0.1 precisionmanuals.com

127.0.0.1 www.precisionmanuals.com

127.0.0.1     license.precisionmanuals.com

Remove these entries. The only reason these would be in your hosts file is if some program was trying to sidestep the activation process. If you have any idea why those entries would be in there, let us know.
