Engines don't shutdown when starting with cold flightdeck

Can someone help me with this? I go to start FS2Crew with a cold and dark flight deck but the engines are still running.

The default startup for the MD-11 is with the engines runnin.

 

In the menu goto Add-on>PMDG>PANEL STATE>CONFIG> COLD and  DARK. 

 

That will set PMDG to a cold and dark state.

I have tried this but for whatever reason, the engines are still running. It use to stop the engines before but for some reason it has stopped doing this.

Well, the code clearly hasn't changed, so it's going to be something like a conflicting assignment in the sim, or more likely, FSUIPC getting in the way.
