December 7, 20169 yr Hey everyone! I've been meaning to share some pictures of my latest flight from Dubai to Chicago. I'm a huge commercial aviation nut and long haul to ultra long haul flights are my forte. I'm in love with the 77W and find it to be one of the best looking aircraft out there. I feel like the Emirates livery looks great on it in particular. As always, the flight was flown in real time following the actual schedule and took just over 15 hours. A brief list of all my addons: SkySpirit 77W painted by Abdullah Rahman ActiveSky Evolution for the weather FlyTampa Dubai FSDT Chicago O'Hare Shockwave 3D Lights Aerosoft AES 2.43a REX Extreme Redux FSRealTime for time sync AISmooth for AI separation Apologies in advance if I've forgotten anything! As always, all screenshots are unedited other than resizing. Overview of DXB this morning. Fairly full with the dominant carrier being EK. Parked at the gate in Dubai as EK235. A6-EGO has the honor of doing the flight today. Sadly, the 1000th 777 titles have long since been removed from this airframe in real life... Pushing back with a full load of passengers as EK175 lifts off in the background bound for St. Petersburg: Small lineup for takeoff. EK211 to Houston is just about ready for departure: Finally, it's our turn to line up as EK29 rolls for takeoff bound for Heathrow: Liftoff! The massive GE90's doing what they do best!! We're ten minutes behind schedule at this point... Powering away: Wingview of downtown Dubai with the Burj Khalifa in the background: Cruising along at FL370 over the Lithuanian and Latvian border: Overflying Sweden, it's beginning to get dark... The skies become slightly more dark still as we say goodbye to the coast of Norway: Dusk approaching as we overfly Iceland: Saying hello to the coast of Canada, it's finally becoming daytime again.. We've begun our descent over the border of US/Canada: Descending.. Everything down with downtown Chicago in the background, we're on finals for runway 28R: Slowing down to vacate the runway, we're ten minutes ahead of schedule! Bless the winds.. Taxiing to gate C16 assigned to us by ATC: Parked at the gate at last with everyone and everything disembarking: Thanks for looking everyone!
