What is the actual difference in nature, between Beta1 and Beta 2?

I am still on B1. Is there any real payout, to go to B2 at the moment?

Any real visual difference?

If you fly the Cessna a lot you want B2: it solves the sparkling 'noise' on the VOR gauges. And it also cures the CTD you get at the end of a flight when you use a GPS plan. The rest of the fixes are a bonus.

That noise you speak of, I had, but not just on the guages, but the whole VC below the panel of the default C172 and I found that the only cure was to dramatically reduce the AA.  This noise only appeared in the VC though, which i found strange.
