Searching for a Christmas Tree

I thought there should at least be one in the Russian Taiga.

So I took off from Anchorage towards west.

In Anadyr the weather was bad as usual

But it came worse. No flying possible.

Finally better

So up to Tiksi!

But soon I realized that Tiksi is to far north. Rarely trees here around. And so dark. That was around noon:

When flying over the empty Eurasian Tundra or Taiga, there were unique impressions though (Lena river delta)

 I have just watched Chris Tarrant's latest extreme railway journeys programme which was Scandinavia.

 

He went to see Father Christmas. :lol:

 

I do feel that the railways in England really are lagging behind .....as are many things. :rolleyes:

Scandinavia is the next aim of my Christmas tour; although my current position (Kirov) has train connection, I prefer flying. :smile:
