I have a very well optimized FSX running in DX10, for EHAM I have set grass and 3d people to off, other settings to low, decreased textures from 2048 to 1024, and switched to amsterdam_city_basic.bgl with auto generated buildings instead. With these settings I have approximately 550 MB of VAS left after a flight from EKCH ( I have right now landed in Amsterdam in a second flight from Copenhagen). I´m using FSX with only the NL2000 photoreal scenery activated, 3d scenery is disabled as I don´t fly sightseeing with my NGX :Big Grin: he he. So this should work in P3D as well.
