After changing from 560ti where I kept AA, texture resolution down and hardware tessellation off for managing vram to 1070 didn't see improvement in performance even though it has been said p3d shifts terrain generation load to gpu. Disabling/enabling hardware tessellation produced no difference which it should when cpu is in bottleneck position and gpu not overloaded. This has me confused about the talk since p3d v2 release about ability of off loading and freeing cpu for increase in performance. Able to run high resolution textures, AA, detailed water without shadow flickering and heavy cloud cover without fps drop are the change I am seeing with the new card.
