January 8, 20179 yr Hey guys, So far I use to fly on FSX Simulator. Now that I upgraded my computer I want to install P3D. But my first indecision is whether to install Win 8.1/64 or 10/64, what do you think is better for the simulator performance? Thank you
January 8, 20179 yr There is only one choice: Windows10-X64. Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
January 8, 20179 yr Either will work just fine. It really depends on your taste. 10 has a lot more nonsense for advanced users while being a bit more mature. FS-Wise, much the same really. CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11
January 8, 20179 yr Stay away, far away from Windows 8. PMDG wouldn't even officially support it. There's a few things I don't like about Windows 10 but it has been very stable for me and it is what's currently available. Dan Downs KCRP
