win.xpl error (XP11)

Recommended Posts

I note the following lines in my log.txt.  Isn't win.xpl a system file that comes with X-Plane?

-----------

Fetching plugins for E:\X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins

Loaded: E:\X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/PluginAdmin/64/win.xpl (xpsdk.examples.pluginadmin).

E:\X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/win.xpl : Error Code = 193 : %1 is not a valid Win32 application.
Failed: E:\X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/win.xpl.  (This file is missing, not a DLL or could not be loaded due to another missing DLL.)

Are you using any other plugins with XP?  Check the rest of your log file to see if any plugins successfully loaded and if they subsequently crashed after this error.

Very easily that plugin is a 32bit version of a third-party plugin and for this reason it isn't loaded (XP11 is only 64bit).

Third-party plugins should indeed be located into their own folder so you can identify them in such a situations (not a fat-plugin type, I'd say).
