January 18, 20179 yr That is a different event entirely and has nothing to do with the 737 fleet. It's simply an operational decision. The airplane is entirely CAT III capable using only the HUD so why incur the expense keeping the airplanes and crews qualified to do auto landings? Sounds reasonable for AA to keep cost down.
