Airport Ground Glitches with taxi ways, runways, gate taxiways on FSX steam edition

Recommended Posts

Hi avsim community. I'm having a problem with the ground at default airports where it glitches with the taxi ways and the runways. Also the gate taxi ways have glitches.  I don't know if it's one of the settings I touched or something that I added. I added a ground texture upgrade from flyaway simulations and I think it's from there. Is there anyway that I can fix this problem either the settings or uninstalling something. I want to reduce this to so I can post youtube videos. Thanks!

Have you tried reversing the ground texture upgrade?  Did it overwrite ground textures and did not save the original

ones?

how do u do that

By doing EXACTLY what it said to do BEFORE you did the installation!

PreInstallation

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!! BE SURE TO BACK UP THE FOLLOWING DDS FILES LOCATED IN YOUR C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture FOLDER:

  • taxi_asphalt
  • taxi_tranm
  • taxi_concrete
  • taxi_ tarmac
  • taxiway_marks

Now back up the following bmp file located in your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Texture folder:  detail.1

Maybe uncheck DX10 Preview in your settings if it's checked.

If these problems showed up after you changed the textures, then the new textures are the likely culprit.
