As S CA weather is pretty much the same, day after day, week after week, I just set up User Defined weather to what we have. When it changes, I just change the settings to what is on weather channel.

>oh, god shave the queen.. i thought i was the only one...>http://www.igfly.com/images/betateam.jpgI would save the Queen but that would mean I'd have to listen to her again . . . God

I would assume that this would be an issue that AVSIM would be monitoring and announcements placed on the main page so we can see what's happening.ATTN: AVSIM - are you guys watching this?

Flight Simulator connects to fs2k.zone.com, and downloads Real Weather from there ;). Look in your FS9.cfg:WeatherServerAddress=fs2k.zone.comThe server is the problem :)

Sorry about that. The hamsters in their wheel have now been fed and the service is back up ;-)http://www.steve-lacey.com/blogarchives/20...tsim_real.shtmlNote, the service itself didn't actually go down, just the network connectivity. It all amounts to the same thing, I know...Cheers,Steve

AAAAH okay, I see where you are getting at, now. For a moment there I thought people were talking about going directly to that site and downloading weather manually . . . that's why I was like, "#####? Why would anyone do such a silly thing?"Thanks for clarifying.

Thanks for the update Steve and happy holidays :-)Carlos de AndaGuadalajara, MexicoA happy FS user since 1989 (ATARI FS2)

I'm glad I read this whole thread. There are a couple of good tidbits in it (<-- just figured I'd make it a bit godawful longer :-) ). Glad it's working again.Thomas
