2018 Practice around Norway (continued from 2017)

Recommended Posts

Just a proposal - How about short legs criss-crossing Norway? Shorter legs so one can get in time w/o spending ~2+ hours. (After work etc.) Maybe helos too.

It's a mess, take a look at SkyVector.

Charts for your flight may be found here.

Going to start it off with a "coffee cruize".

I have the baton, ESPC (ESNZ) --> ENRA in the LDR Ryan Navion B (Royal Swedish Air Force) using FSRealWX Pro.

Rossvoll has a cool IMC approach! Similar to Kai Tak except "left turn clyde". Not going to be a speed run, trying the approach.

On TS and JFS  Hub = AVSIM RTWR Practice (RS)

Baton is free @ ENRA

NOW THAT WAS A FUN FLIGHT! Going to have an ear to ear grin all day. Decent winds, building clouds which turned into freezing rain near børgefjell/byrkije, high doses of carb heat were necessary. Later it turned to snow joining the approach path ending up with some clearing and a nice view of the lead in lights. Just beautiful scenery all the way. -  Screenshots

I like the short hop idea.  I want to brush up my helo skills but didn't relish two hours without "otto."  Is there any inkling of what helos will/won't be race-approved (other than default)?

And thats why you need to practice. Forgot about fuel tank change and came back from a bit of a web browse to find it in the drink.

I have the baton ENRA-ENAN in Shockwave P51H

Harv / Roman -
Flight time:           00:21:59     00:22:06     +00:07
Baton time:             00:22:18   00:22:17     -00:01

No better way to awake in the morning than a formation flight! Sweating palms and beating heart. Harv came in a little lower 'n slower than I'm used to so was "hanging on" nose high. All I could see is his red tag below me, just followed the tag.

Sorry for the "Code" method, but I don't know how you guys do that "text" thing...

That's my two segments.  Gotta wait for someone else now :)

Dan,

To attach a file choose the "More Reply Options" to the right of the "Post" button.  That will give you an option to attach files at the bottom of the text entry window and a "Choose Files" button which will allow you to browse to the location where the Duenna text is.  Once you have selected the file you can add it to the post.

Sorry for being thick Jeff, but I don't see anything about attachments. Looking at the text entry window right now (where I'm typing, right?), I have an icon in the lower right to resize the window, and at the very bottom, my choices are "Add reply", "Preview Post", or "Cancel".

I have moused over every icon at the top as well.  The only thing that seems promising is the "My Media" button, but it only seems to give me options to search what I already have on the site; I can't see where it lets me attach anything new.  There is a "Search" function, but now "Browse" function that I can see.

I'm probably going to face palm myself when I "get it", but right now I'm stumped.

Dan, do you not see this at the bottom of the reply window? Attach Files is where you can attach your text file.

My apologies guys for taking up the practice thread.  Continue on with your practice..
