hi alli have the default KLAX AP scenery, however every time i fly into this airport my frame rates go down the tube, it only seems to be this airport and no other,its like on approach at say 4000 feet doing the SADDE6 arrival i get alot of jerkiness and stuttering, however after i land and begin taxiing to the gate and go to external view everything goes back to normal.Has anyone else experienced this?rgds

what AI do you use? and what's the percentage setting? Do you have any custom sceneries around that area? What plane? Try flying into KJFK with same AI and weather setting. Chances are it's worse than KLAX. But if not, you have a specific problem tied to LAX area.Jason

no question that LA is one of the worst areas for traffic, IMO it is number one. Not just because of LAX, but Burbank, Long Beach, Ontario, Santa Ana.

Probably your AI traffic. What AI models do you use?....some are very bad for frame rates.Matt

well guys for AI the AI is ZERO as i play on vatsim so there is only one or 2 other VATSIMERS on when i was landing last night,but even with alot of no VATSIMERS on i still get major hiccups there.

These are the 2 settings that most affect FPS around airports.Sometimes setting "Terrain Detail" slider to min also helps.You may also try to use reduced-size textures of autogen, runway, trees, clouds, etc. , made by Bart Dylkiewicz (search for his files in the library). They help reducing stuttering.Marco
