Where did this come from? I just finished having some fun with my 1-11, check the library and see this early present. I haven't flown it yet but just read the manual and it looks awesome! Fully functioning FMC :9

Soo.. how is it? Smooth gauges in VC?

This seems to be a really nice package, and it's better than some payware 747s (before I get flamed, I'm not talking about PMDG), and I'm sure it will win some kind of award in the future, the sounds are spot on, the exterior model looks pretty good to my untrained eye and it's got an FMC. Unfortunately, two bad points just from flying it around for a little while are I get worse performance with this 747 than I do with PMDGs and the flight dynamics seem touchy and it's a little difficult to fly. As far as the VC goes, it may be system dependent, but I'm getting terrible chop with it.Jeff

Is the panel useable with the Boeing 747-400/-400F models from Project Openksy??.That panel looks terrific.

Anyone found out how to switch from KG to LBS?

Ok, I havn't used it much, but here are my first impressions:* Its free! Wow!* This aircraft is so complete it could be compared to PMDG! * Features Including Virtual Cockpit, Cabin, 330 Page Manual, Failures, Panel States, The displays are slightly customisable (RA and FD)* FPS Are dramatically higher, infact PERFECT with 2D Only mode, Exterior almost locked at 23, Panel around the same, I get better performance with the VCabin/VC mode than the VC mode by itself (VC around 10-11, Exterior model around the same, Interesting).* It has systems! Hydraulic, Electrical, APU etc.. I havn't started from Cold and Dark yet as I only just found out how :( [Everything regarding configuration is within the FMC], so next Flight I will and I'll see if they are actually functional (or just dummy switches)* No wing views! Ironic that both 744's (PMDG/iFLY) don't have wingviews.* I prefer POSKY's model, (And PMDGs), I'm going to try and merge it.* The FMC is complete, It has pages (Although just for looks), just as Maintenance that arn't with PMDG if I remember correctly.* It doesn't feel as 'refined' as PMDG, especially in the VC.* The 2D 'Main' and 'FMC' bitmaps are very good, I prefer them to PMDG. The Pedastal, Overhead etc.. seem less so.* There doesn't appear to be a Load manager, Fuel Planner, or EICAS System I will do a full comparison with PMDG after a few more flightsIt is definately not to compete with PMDG, 'You get what you pay for' is appropriate.

Anyone found out who these guys are ? Have they done any projects before ?

>Anyone found out who these guys are ? >Have they done any projects before ?I could be wrong ofcourse,...but,....it could be that some of the guys comes from a well known japanese payware company who made the best L-1011 so far....:-hmmmhttp://www.scandicair.com/images/greeting2.gifhttp://www.scandicair.com/images/sa_banner.gif"Real men fly with round gauges"

Well for a freeware plane it certainly is pretty nice and is 1000 times better than the default plane ;P. I would not compare it with the PMDG plane since this is freeware and being technical it has many limitations although I think it is pretty neat. I am unable to use navdata or input wpts, not sure what I am missing in that regard. The FMC is interesting and for a freeware, have not seen anything this advanced, with HOLDS, crx descents and climbs, progress page etc. The AFDS is pretty good too but when you get to checking it with correct data you will see it has it's limitations. Anyone though who does not desire to spend x amount on a payware should be very content with the level of detail offered here.
Randy J. They are from China(most) & Taiwan. I saw beta news at www.cfso.org before. This is the first project.

>> I would not compare it with the PMDG plane since this is freeware Excuse me, but that sounds pretty arrogant. "since this is freeware", are you saying freeware developers are unable to make anything comparable to payware developers ?Mike

BIG thanks to the developers for that incredible freeware gift. This is really impressive !Mike

Impressive addon, thanks a lot! Beats most of "payware" addons out there.P.S. Tupolev is awesome too, one of my favorite planes!!
