February 10, 20179 yr Hi All, I have been flying the 747 v3 since its release without any hiccups and loving every second of it, until ... Over the last two flights I have done, I have had a CTD of the "FSX has stopped working and now needs to close" type. Both had one thing in common: both crashes happened upon retraction of flaps from 10 to 5. No hardware involved (using "F6" key to retract). The crashes seem to happen mere seconds after pressing the "F6" key ... I can hear the sound of the handle clicking into position and as soon as there is flap movement ... boom, CTD. Worst part about this is that at both times it's like the maximum level of immersion in the sim has been reached ... heartbreaking! :-) Any ideas? February 11, 20179 yr Author Hi, Thanks for the tip. I have just checked and the events viewer shows the following: Nom de l’application défaillante fsx.exe, version : 10.0.62615.0, horodatage : 0x559f9a9a Nom du module défaillant : MSVCR80.dll, version : 8.0.50727.9268, horodatage : 0x573d297f Code d’exception : 0xc000000d ID du processus défaillant : 0x1408 Heure de début de l’application défaillante : 0x01d283dd8fac423d Chemin d’accès de l’application défaillante : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\fsx.exe Chemin d’accès du module défaillant: C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.9268_none_d08e1538442a243e\MSVCR80.dll Which... seems to not be a PMDG specific DLL?! But only happens with the 747 v3 specifically? Weird... February 11, 20179 yr Author Scratch that... the problem is now elsewhere. The flaps retraction thing was just a coincidence. Now it's just crashing randomly on the same DLL. Any thoughts appreciated but now probably belongs in a different forum.
