December 28, 200520 yr get AirEd:http://www.simradar.com/File/2363/AirEd_Version_1_51.htmlopen the .air file of any a/c you want invisible and change entry 105 'Aircraft Type' from 0 to 2.I think Flightsim Manager has a tool that can do this as well, not sure.regards,Markhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/markrey/lsd2.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/mar.../sup_banner.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256 Regards, Mark
December 28, 200520 yr Hi Johamdo a search for this file "fsat10.zip" at fightsim.com.Kind regards,Jorge Niny___________________Name: fsat10.zip Size: 2,038,793 Date: 01-07-2004 Downloads: 2164 FS2002/FS2004 FS Aircraft Typer v1.0. Since AI traffic was implemented in MSFS the number of aircraft installed in MSFS increased enormously. To enjoy a lot of AI traffic also means to have an oversupply of non-flyable aircraft in the MSFS aircraft menu that slows down MSFS as well. To get rid of them when choosing an aircraft but still let them fly around as AI traffic you must have this little tool. Tested with Windows XP but should work also with other windows versions. Freeware by Janosoft.
December 28, 200520 yr Johan,Download a file from the Avsim library called: bbqhideai1006.zipWritten by a bloke by the name of Alan Chanhttp://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=64944It's a small download 300kb and works very well indeed. It is intuitive and therefore has no learning curve at all.BTW, We all know that is is only good manners to drop the author an e-mail with a word of thanks if you find a utility useful. However, sometimes the author does not acknowledge receipt of such an e-mail so you sometimes never really know whether the author actually received your thankyou note. A case in point is Alan Chan. I sent him an email expressing my thanks, but I don't know if he got it. If he didn't get my note, and by chance is actually reading this post, THANK YOU, ALAN, VERY MUCH INDEED. IT'S A SUPER LITTLE UTILITY.GreetingsDave Britzius(Cape Town)
December 28, 200520 yr "Got alot of AI planes that shows up in the aircraft menu. Is there anyway to make these invisible?"The simplest solution: remove the panel section of those aircraft. You do not fly them anyway yourselfJozef http://homepages.onsnet.nu/~jkusters/signature.jpg

December 29, 200520 yr "Would that actually speed things up a bit too?"I don't know whether this will speed up things, but the aircraft won't show up in the aircraft menu anymore.Look at one of the FS2004 default AI planes, the PA28-180. It has no panel directory and therefore you don't see it in the aircraft menu. As soon as you add a panel to it, you will see the plane in the menu and you can choose it to fly.Jozef http://homepages.onsnet.nu/~jkusters/signature.jpg
December 29, 200520 yr Author Definitely recommend BBQHide - allows you to hide whole batches of aircraft in one pass rather than having to edit them one by one.
