How to use the digital clock

Featured Replies

As title describes, i am familiar with the analog clock, but some of my planes have a digital clock built into PFD, how do i start the elapsed time for this clock?

Hi,

The timer will stop and start automatically at takeoff and landing. You don't need to do anything.

I took off but nothing happened to the clock on the PFD nothing started

Ah? That was like that in my memory but I may be wrong.

Edit: I confirm that it should work automatically (it is triggered on and off by the ground sensor):

Keep in mind it'll stay at 00:00 until a full minute has elapsed.

on the little panel to your left is a clock button. press it and it starts the timer. I use it to time block time and if the old clock, the other side runs the timer for takeoff to landing, and ET does it automatically in the digital clock - David Lee

Just be glad that this thing doesn't have a damn DAVTRON clock in it...I have over 5000 hours in three airplanes with that damn thing and I STILL struggle with using it!!!
